Frequently Asked Questions How do I get started with your agency? Anyone who is interested needs to fill out a registration form - link is at the top of the page. From here you will upload a photo. The photo must be natural only and look like you! This is very important. No make-up unless your over 16 but then, it must still be very light. We are looking for natural beauty and personality. The photo does not have to be professional, but please make sure its a clear headshot and at least 50 kbs. Are there any fees to join your agency? Absolutely not! All I need is a snapshot to get things started. As your representing agency, I do not make any money unless you are booked for a job. Then the agency's commission is 20% of your pay. I do, however, give all talent the option of having their own web page. This is a one time fee of $20 and includes 5 additional photos, your resume/bio on the page, your own url, and all updating of photo's. But, a web page is not mandatory to be represented and a photo of you will still be on your age division page. Is everyone who sends in a photo accepted into your agency? I'm sorry to say, but no, not everyone is accepted. Your initial photo you send in will determine whether your accepted or not. If not accepted, this does not mean you or your child is not beautiful, but just not what ad agents are looking for right now. Please do not take offense to this as there are certain looks and personalities that different companies look for. Its always best to send a photo showing some personality, but this also does not mean it has to be a smiling picture. Eyes can tell alot about a person! Use your own judgement or get opinons from friends. So, what do I need to do about photos? Do not worry about photos right now. Just get your foot in the door first. There is no need for children under the age of 5 to have a modeling composite because their looks change so quickly. Three snap shots will be required if they are accepted. One face, one 3/4 body, and one full body shot. Try to catch the personality of your child in their photos. For the older ones, if you are already experienced, please let me know and I will need a copy of your current composite and portfolio snail or emailed to me along with a resume of your experience. If you have no experience, you may need to have a composite card made and possibly a portfolio if you get a job.. This will be explained more under information Do I need any experience? Photoshoots for print ads, clothing Hang tags, catalogs, etc.; normally there is no experience needed, but be prepared to spend a possible good amount of time with a photographer. For TV, film, theatrical, or live events, this can go either way as to if experience is needed or not. Sometimes a company, or photographer would rather work with someone who has little or no experience because the model is not already set to a regular routine, therefore, he/she is more apt to be taught what is wanted on the set. But every agent is different so it all boils down to what a company is looking for. If you would be accepted for a film, the company may want you to attend acting classes, especially for the younger ones. This is not always the case, but stay prepared! It never hurts to enter an acting class, whether it be in highschool or whatever age as this is experience you can add to your resume and this might make you more attractive to a film producer. Sometimes, it may all depend on how the actor takes instructions.
